What is Scaling Up?

Scaling up means enlarging a smaller image or idea — whether a sketch, photo, or collage — into a larger format such as a canvas, mural, or print. It is both a technical and conceptual act, requiring sensitivity to proportion and composition, and openness to how scale changes the artwork’s voice.
