Archetypal Symbols

Overview

Symbols are the language of the unconscious. Archetypal symbols, such as the tree, the eye, the labyrinth, or the hand, appear across cultures and centuries. They carry emotional charge and psychic depth, often expressing truths that can’t be easily put into words. Jung saw symbols as bridges between the known and unknown, the conscious and unconscious. In creative practice, symbols offer more than decoration: they become portals. When we use them with awareness, they awaken associations, memories, and meanings that reside beyond logic. They allow us to create work that speaks through form and feeling, not explanation.
