Visual Weighting

How the arrangement of shapes, colours, textures, and space directs the viewer’s gaze, creating balance, emphasis, and movement in an artwork.
Unlocking Creativity

Unlocking creativity means navigating periods of artistic stillness with openness, experimentation, and trust. These moments often arise when deeper parts of the psyche are asking for change, not just in method, but in meaning.
The Artuitive Process (TAP)

The Artuitive Process is a non-linear, six-stage creative cycle that mirrors the workings of the psyche. Each phase supports a different kind of attention; from impulse to insight, chaos to cohesion. Rather than following a fixed plan, the artist listens, responds, and allows the work to evolve on its own terms.
Text + Art

Text and art is the fusion of visual and written language: where words operate as imagery, symbolism, and structure. This practice might involve collage, handwritten phrases, printed typography, or poetic fragments embedded in the artwork.
Symbols

Symbols are visual forms that hold layered meaning. Unlike signs, which
point to a single message, symbols open up many interpretations. They may appear in dreams, stories, or artworks, ridging the conscious and unconscious,
the personal and the collective.
Spatial Relationship

Spatial relationships describe how visual elements relate to one another, and to the surrounding space, within an artwork. Manipulating proximity, scale, depth, and orientation can generate tension, intimacy, openness, or fragmentation.
Site-specific + Installation

Site-specific and installation art is an approach where space is not a backdrop, but a central element of the work. These pieces respond to specific environments — architectural, natural, or social — and invite viewers into an experience that is physical, perceptual, and often participatory.
Sculpture

Sculpture is the shaping of material in three dimensions, creating tactile, spatial experiences that invite emotional and physical engagement. Form emerges
through gesture, carving, construction, or assembly, revealing not just objects, but expressions of energy, memory, and inner life.
Scaling Up

Scaling up means enlarging a smaller image or idea — whether a sketch, photo, or collage — into a larger format such as a canvas, mural, or print. It is both a technical and conceptual act, requiring sensitivity to proportion and composition, and openness to how scale changes the artwork’s voice.
Printmaking

Printmaking is the art of transferring ink from one surface to another, creating impressions that balance control with chance. Relief, intaglio, planographic (such as monoprints and lithography), and screen printing each offer unique languages of texture, line, and layering, expanding an artist’s expressive possibilities.
