Thanks for signing up! It’s lovely to have you here.
Art-Ed Hub is more than just a resource bank; it’s a growing space for creative inquiry, thoughtful teaching, and the kind of soulful exploration that often gets lost in the rush of curriculum and outcomes. Whether you’re here for the IB Visual Arts support, the creative prompts, or just a bit of inspiration, I hope you find something that resonates.
Every now and then, I’ll drop into your inbox with new resources, reflections, or behind-the-scenes updates. Nothing overwhelming, just things I genuinely think are worth sharing.
Warm wishes,
Nikki

Love this – we are doing similar but media explorations based around a chosen object, taking it through drawing, collage, watercolour and acrylic painting, print elements and sculpture.
We looked at Emma Larsson’s watercolour based works to free them up as a starting point for watercolour. Starting with playful approaches as they explore each medium stops students being so tight once they apply it. in a more focused way.
Sounds fabulous! I know of others who are working with one object too. Anything that encourages depth in exploration is ideal for this first term.
Are the examples here student work?
Yes, the artwork belongs to students from the past few years. Only the two ‘orange’ mock-ups are mine, but again, made up of my students’ work.
