What is Printmaking?

Printmaking is the art of transferring ink from one surface to another, creating impressions that balance control with chance. Relief, intaglio, planographic (such as monoprints and lithography), and screen printing each offer unique languages of texture, line, and layering, expanding an artist’s expressive possibilities.
